Root Beer Float

Ingredients:

Recommended Hamilton Beach® Product: Blenders

  • 2 cans root beer (any kind)
  • 5 scoops (approx ½ cup each scoop) vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

1. Add root beer first, then ice cream and vanilla to blender.
2. Blend on a high speed setting for approximately 15-30 seconds or until smooth.
3. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream if desired.

TEST KITCHEN TIP:

Any soda can be used in place of root beer – orange soda, etc.  Consider sprinkling crushed root beer hard candies on top of the whipped cream.

YIELD:
3 large mugs or 5-6 small mugs
