Food Adventure # 37 - Java Grilled Fish with Sambal sauce (or Tofu)

Course:

Products: Indoor Grills, Hand Blenders, Food Adventure, Blenders, Toaster Ovens

Ingredients:

  • Oil- 30ml
  • Chopped onion- 20gm
  • Chopped garlic- 15gm
  • Chopped red chillie – 10 gm
  • Tomato chopped- 60gm
  • Fish sauce – 30ml or light soya sauce for the vegetarian version
  • Vinegar- 5 ml
  • Sugar- 10gm
  • Degi mirch – 5 gm
  • Salt to taste

       Grilled Fish or Tofu

  • Fish Fillet/ Tofu – 200gm
  • Fish sauce – 5 ml
  • Sambal sauce – 75gm

 

Directions:

  •  Brown onion, garlic+ ginger in the oil
  • Add tomato. Cook until oil separates.
  • Add all the other ingredients. Cook for a few minutes. Check all the flavours. Sweet, sour + salty should be balanced 

 Marinate all and wrap in banana leaf. Cook in media over – 15-20mins
